Nothing to look back on and smile

WALSALL are unlikely to look back on last weekend with any fondness.

The Saddlers went to West Midland neighbours Coventry and were promptly smashed 5-1 to deepen the woes at the Banks's Stadium.

Dean Smith's men are now winless in 16 and a home game to Yeovil Town is unlikely to fill the team with much confidence.

Yeovil have won four of the last six encounters, drawing the other two and are seven points clear of Saturday's hosts.

They have also blown hot and cold this season too though, and were dumped out of the FA Cup 3-0 by Preston last month.

The Saddlers' lack of goals is becoming a real concern.

They have only four in their last four home games and last week's goal at the Ricoh Arena was an own goal from Sky Blues' defender Blair Adams.

After that 16th-minute gift Walsall offered little up front and look vulnerable to Yeovil.

Despite their recent form, Walsall are favourites on BETDAQ at 5/4 to pick up that elusive win.

The Glovers are 19/8 with the same firm, even though they have three wins from their last six matches and been triumphant in two of their last three visits to the Banks's Stadium.

Therefore, from a value point of view, the visitors look the call in a tight game.

I'd sell goals (bet lower) at 2.6 with Sporting Index as only two of the last ten meeting between the sides has seen more than 2.5 goals.
