Following Saturday's crucial home win against Wycombe, Walsall are taking on another of their relegation rivals tonight.

The Saddlers travel to Scunthorpe buoyed by that 2-0 victory over the Chairboys, and safe in the knowledge that a win at Glanford Park will move them out of the bottom four.

They were further boosted today by the news that Florent Cuvelier will remain with the club until the end of the season.

The Belgian is expected to start tonight, as is former Scunthorpe man Kevan Hurst, who marked his first start in four months with the opening goal against Wycombe.

David Grof and the fit-again Jimmy Walker will contest the goalkeeping berth, while the competition for a starting place up front is also on, with both Jon Macken and George Bowerman staking their claims at the weekend.

Scunthorpe go into the game three points and a place above the Saddlers, and they crucially occupy the position above the dreaded drop zone.

Their form is good - they have lost just once since the turn of the year and have won their last two league games.

Kick-off tonight is at 7.45pm.
