Saddlers boss Dean Smith says his side will go into tomorrow's encounter with Sheffield United full of confidence, despite throwing away a two goal lead on Saturday.

Walsall let the advantage slip against Crewe at the Banks's Stadium, allowing the visitors to snatch a late draw.

The point did end the their run of three straight defeats though, and Smith says that they are looking forward to the tough test that awaits them at Bramall Lane.

Speaking to the club's official website after the Crewe game, Smith said: "There was some terrific football played by both sides. It was a great advert for League One football.

"Some of our decision-making wasn't great, but there is belief in that dressing room and now we are looking forward to going to Sheffield United on Tuesday," he told www.saddlers.co.uk.

"It's the kind of stage that my players want to be playing on and we'll go there with confidence and determination to play the way we have done throughout the season so far."

Meanwhile, Walsall have been drawn away at either Lincoln City or FC Halifax in the FA Cup first round, with the tie to be played on November 3.
