Two teenagers have been arrested following a series of arson attacks in Walsall in the last two weeks, West Midlands Police confirmed this afternoon.

The two boys, aged 13 and 14, are currently helping police with enquiries after flats on Dorchester Road, New Invention were targeted four times.

The latest fire happened at around 9:23pm on Tuesday 16 October when a pile of rubbish was set alight at the bottom of a stairwell.

Meanwhile local neighbourhood officers have stepped up patrols in the area to reassure local residents.

A number of lines of enquiry are being followed up and anyone who feels they may be able to assist the investigation is asked to contact Walsall Police on 101.

Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
