Sign up and raise funds on Starlight Walk

THE Starlight Walk is a chance for women in Walsall to shine this autumn by raising funds for Helen's Appeal.

It takes place at 8pm on Saturday, September 22, giving participants the opportunity to enjoy an evening walk in good company whilst raising much needed cash.

Hundreds of women are expected to turn up for the fund-raiser, with individuals, friends, family and work colleagues coming together to support the Advertiser's campaign – which has already reached the £1,000 mark in the space of three weeks.

Women can complete either one 3.75-mile lap or two laps of the historic village for the full 7.5-mile course as part of the fund-raising walk.

Helen Relihan, head of fund-raising for St Giles Walsall Hospice, said: "There's still time for women to sign up to the Starlight Walk and raise funds for Helen's Appeal – but with places strictly limited, it's best to act now."

The Starlight Walk is open to women aged 16 or over and entry is £15 per person.

Entrants can direct funds straight to Helen's Appeal by specifying the Advertiser's campaign when they sign up.

Everyone who registers will receive a special sponsorship pack, including fund-raising ideas, training tips and more.
