Rushall Olympic's impressive first season in the Evo-Stik Premier Division ended on a winning note this weekend.

The Pics defeated Matlock Town thanks to a Kyle Brady goal - the win meaning that Rushall finished the campaign in eighth place, with the possibility of cup success still to come.

After having the upper hand for much of the game, the Pics finally claimed the points late on when Brady rifled a Louis Keenan cross into the net.

Despite the end of their league programme, Rushall's season is far from over, as they now have no fewer than three cup finals to contest.

The first of those will take place on Wednesday, when they face holders Kidsgrove Athletic in the final of the Staffordshire Senior Cup.

The game will take place at Port Vale's Vale Park ground, kicking off at 7.45pm.
