Pics seal cup shock to progress

Ahmed Obeng made a dramatic return to the Rushall Olympic team as the Pics booked their place in the First Round of the FA Trophy this weekend.

Obeng - who collapsed on the pitch and was hospitalised exactly a month ago - scored a brace as Rushall defeated Blue Square North side Droylsden to progress.

The frontman struck on 77 and 79 minutes, and while Droylsden pulled a goal back late on, it is the Pics that take their place in today's draw, which sees Conference teams enter the draw.

The Pics therefore could be drawn against one of the biggest names in non-league football, with the likes of Luton, Macclesfield, Hereford and Stockport all entering the competition at this stage.
