Rushall Olympic will travel to Wales tomorrow looking to secure one of the biggest results in the club's history as they take on Wrexham in the FA Trophy.

The Pics, enjoying another solid season in the Evo-Stik Premier Division, will come up against a club chasing promotion back into the football league and who have played as high as the second tier of English football in their history.

Despite the odds being stacked against the men from Rushall, boss Neil Kitching is confident his team can spring a surprise.

"We know it's going to be a big ask but we are quietly confident," he told the Advertiser this week. "We've had a good Trophy run this far and we don't want it to end."

The Pics go into the game on the back of last week's hugely impressive 4-0 win away at FC United, something which Kitching says will help his side.

"We're going there in a positive frame of mind, we're going there to try to upset them and get a result, we feel we're capable of that.

"We'll try to keep things tight early on and make sure we stay in the game, not let it run away from us – but we're not going there to shut up shop or contain them. We're going there to win.

"Our players are high in confidence and I keep telling people 'this is a non-league competition'. Wrexham are not a league club and there's no reason why we can't go there and get a result."

Kick-off at Wrexham's 10,500 capacity Racecourse Ground is at 3pm tomorrow.
