STREET entertainers with a passion for performing are being invited to showcase their skills at the launch of Walsall's new night market next month.
Entertainers and musicians are wanted to help kick-start the evening on Thursday, October 25, which is hoped will turn into a regular event.
More than 30 stalls have been booked to fill in and around Park Street for the market, which will start at 5pm.
The event aims to bring together some of the best independent traders and street food caterers from across the region.
Carl Mitchell, of Bonce Hair Salons who is also a member of the Walsall Town Team, said preparations were going "amazingly well".
"Our aim is to create a real buzz and put on something very different and we've joined forces with Walsall Council over this project very well," he said. "So far, there's been more than 30 traders who have been selected and there's plenty of time to see that number rise."
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for the exciting venture.
Councillor Adrian Andrew, Walsall Council Coalition portfolio holder for regeneration, said: "We're looking to create a vibrant event that will really capture the imagination of shoppers including some who may not have been to Walsall for some time."
An artisan bakery, handmade cupcakes, Spanish delicacies and vintage clothes are will among the stalls which will be on offer.
