Londoner told to move to Walsall

The BBC are this morning running the story of a London council tenant who has been told his only chance of getting suitable accomodation is by moving to Walsall.
Should Londoners be offered the option of housing in Walsall?
Jason Paul, a 38 year-old unemployed single parent, lives in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, and is shocked by his council's bid to relocate him here.
He claims that the council have told him that he and his daughter will be living 'on the streets' if they don't take up the offer of a home in Walsall.
The option has come about after Waltham Forest Council - who have more than 21,000 people on their housing waiting list - recently purchased units in Walsall.
What are your thoughts on this? Given the shortage of housing for Walsall families, should London councils be able to move their residents here? Let us know.
