2012 sees the 'best ever' results for Streetly pupils

THE Class of 2012 produced the best-ever results at Streetly Academy.

A total 99 per cent of students achieved five A* to C grades – up seven per cent on last year.

Just over 76 per cent scooped five A* to C grades with English and maths – an increase of eight per cent on last year – while 46 per cent of students achieved three or more A* to A grades and a quarter had five or more.

Top performers at the school were Heather Ballantyne with nine A*s and three As, Phoebe Henderson with eight A*s and three As, Samantha Bolwell with seven A*s and two As and Ryan Coffey with seven A*s and four As.

Headteacher, Billy Downie, said: "Can we congratulate everyone connected to the school, students past and present, parents, staff, and governors, for their continued commitment to achieving the very best for our young people.

"We look forward to building upon this platform to enjoy even greater success in 2013 and beyond."
